Welcome to Post Service Success
Post Service Success exists to help veterans and their families navigate life after service with clarity, confidence, and dignity. The transition out of the military is often confusing not because resources do not exist but because they are fragmented, outdated, or poorly explained. This project was created to close that gap.

This is a free, veteran run resource built from lived experience and academic research. There are no products being sold and no services hidden behind a paywall. The goal is simple. Help veterans understand their options and make informed decisions about their future.
Hello
My name is Brandon Wagener
I am a father of 2 and a U.S. Army veteran of 6 years. I have used many of the resources available to veterans to help stabilize my life after service and build the life i want after service. I would like to give back and help other veterans leverage these benefits and reach there goals.

Who This Is For
Post Service Success is designed for service members and veterans who are approaching separation or retirement, recently transitioned veterans who feel overwhelmed or stuck, and family members who want to better support a veteran they care about. It is also for anyone who feels they were handed benefits without a clear explanation of how to actually use them.
What You Will Find Here
Practical tools, guidance, and research intended to support clarity during life after service.

Free Clarity Calls
One of the core offerings of Post Service Success is a free clarity call. These conversations are informal, confidential, and focused entirely on the veteran or family member seeking guidance. There is no script and no pressure. The purpose is to listen, help make sense of available options, and support informed next steps.

Clarity calls are especially helpful for individuals who feel overwhelmed by benefits information, are unsure how different programs interact, or need space to think through a major decision with greater calm and structure.

Notion Dashboard
The Notion dashboard is a structured transition toolkit designed to help veterans organize information, track decisions, and understand how different benefits and programs fit together. It brings commonly scattered resources into one place and provides a practical framework for planning next steps.

This tool is not meant to dictate a single path forward. It is designed to help veterans slow down, gain perspective, and approach transition planning with clarity rather than urgency.

Research and Whitepaper
This project is supported by academic research completed as part of an undergraduate program in Emergency Management and Homeland Security. The accompanying whitepaper examines why veteran benefits are consistently underutilized and how clearer navigation and earlier understanding can improve long term outcomes.

The whitepaper is provided to add transparency and context to the work being done here. It does not replace official guidance but is intended to help veterans better understand the systems they are interacting with and the decisions they are being asked to make.
Post Service Success is independent and not affiliated with the Department of Defense or the Department of Veterans Affairs. Information shared here is for educational purposes only and should be verified with official sources when making formal decisions.

Respect, honesty, and discretion are core values of this project. Veterans are never treated as leads, customers, or metrics. They are treated as people navigating a major life transition.
Values and Boundaries
Why This Project Exists
Many veterans leave service assuming they will figure things out later. Unfortunately, that delay often leads to unnecessary stress, lost time, and missed opportunities. Post Service Success was created to intervene earlier and provide a calmer, more grounded approach to transition planning.

This project does not claim to have all the answers. It exists to help veterans ask better questions, understand tradeoffs, and move forward with intention rather than pressure.
Next Steps
If you are exploring your options or want a clearer understanding of what comes next, you are welcome to explore the resources on this site or request a free clarity call. There is no obligation and no expectation beyond an honest conversation.

Post Service Success exists to help make the transition out of service less isolating and more navigable. You do not have to figure everything out at once and you do not have to do it alone.
